A Native of Malappuram who is Struggling with Cancer Seeks Compassion.

Lenish from Malappuram, who has been bedridden due to cancer for more than 4 years, is seeking aid. While he was in treatment at Sree Chitra Institute of Medical Science in Thiruvananthapuram, they referred him to the Regional Cancer Center for Radiation Therapy as he was likely to loss his life if they attempt for a surgery. He was prescribed for 35 radiations, but unfortunately by the time he had completed 15, he had fallen into coma stage and later he was sent home. Since then he is in bed. Unable to move his body, he does all his basic chores while lying in bed.

The Hindu Seva Kendram Volunteers confirmed of the plight of the patient and his family in Panakkad of Malappuram district. The family, which includes a wife and three daughters, is now in dire straits for daily living and their children’s education. Before the pandemic, Lenish’s wife went to work as a housemaid to fetch some income, but the pandemic protocoal stopped her from continuing. Apart from this, they are crammed with the liability of a Home Loan.

The Hindu Seva Kendram volunteers delivered essential food items, including rice, grains and vegetables, to the family. Financial security still needs to be ensured for the survival of this family and the education of the children. Understandably, we can help them.
