Hindus in India are facing an existential crisis, especially in Kerala. Keeping this in mind, a few well-meaning Hindu activists decided to take action to help the ailing Hindu community. We launched an initiative to protect Hindu people, traditions, and way of life.We must stand together to preserve and protect our traditions.We must stand together and support our own.If we do not do these things, then who will?If you do not stand up and fight to preserve your traditions, then you have no right to cry when they are lost.🕉

Annalekshmy (അന്നലക്ഷ്മി) (अन्नलक्ष्मी)

PROGRAM TO ALLEVIATE HUNGER.
In Kerala, hunger and malnourishment are seen almost exclusively amongst the Hindu population.
“Oru Pidi Ari”, or, “One Handful of rice,” is an initiative by Hindu Seva Kendram to alleviate hunger amongst Hindus in Kerala. A donation bag is kept in volunteer Hindu households into which a handful of raw rice is placed after every meal.
Once a month, volunteers will collect the rice and distribute it to needy Hindus.
In addition to rice, other essential items like sugar, spices and wheat flour are provided.
Many donate rice on a special days like birthday, death anniversary, wedding etc.
Currently, about 8000 kgs of rice is being collected every month, which is distributed to more than 3,500 starving Hindus
Over 500 families are continuously served allover Kerala
Help is provided until the beneficiaries are able to procure essential food items on their own.

Sanjeevani (സഞ്ജീവനി) (संजीवनी)

AIMED TO SUPPORT PATIENTS WITH TERMINAL ILLNESS WHO CANNOT AFFORD MEDICAL CARE.
Impoverished members of the Hindu community also lack access to quality medical care. Hindus have a high prevalence of terminal illnesses like cancer and kidney failure.
Aims to bridge the unequal access to quality health care experienced by the underprivileged. Due to their lack of finances and social support, many Hindus are unable to afford proper healthcare and treatment for severe illnesses like cancer, kidney failure, etc.
In response to this, Hindu Seva Kendram has launched the Sanjeevani initiative in order to provide free medication and consultation to poor Hindus. Terminally ill patients receive higher priority in receiving aid.
More than 500 Hindu doctors have volunteered to provide free consultation for underprivileged Hindus.
Medications are purchased from donations from donors like you.

Vidyadeepthi (വിദ്യാദീപ്തി) (विद्यादीप्ति)

PROVIDES EDUCATIONAL SUPPORT TO UNDERPRIVILEGED STUDENTS
Thousands of students from the lower socioeconomic strata are unable to get a quality education due to financial hurdles. Academically well-achieving students whose studies get interrupted due to inability to pay tuition. HSK actively seeks out sponsors who will support the student financially allowing him/her to complete their degree. Girl students are given priority. Numerous students were left behind due to the COVID-19 pandemic since their parents were unable to afford the technology essential for distance learning. We have helped more than 300 poor students with laptops, smartphones and TV monitors , thereby allowing them to keep pace with school work. Your donations will go a long way in helping several such needy students.

Mangalyanidhi (മംഗല്യനിധി)(मंगल्यनिधि)

HELPS PARENTS TO CONDUCT THEIR DAUGHTER’S WEDDING
Delayed marriage is a major social issue among Kerala Hindus. This has major demographic and psychological consequences especially among women. Various causes include financial weakness of parents, astrology/horoscope problems and caste-related issues. Thousands of girls cannot get married even after being engaged because parents cannot afford even a small, no-frills wedding. Mangalya Nidhi provides much-needed financial assistance to needy parents. We have helped conduct more than 50 weddings in 2021. HSK also operates a marriage portal called Hindu Swayamvaram, https://hinduswayamvaram.org/ where Hindu girls and boys can meet online. Hindu Swayamvaram is India’s only not-for-profit matrimonial website.

Gruham (ഗൃഹം)(ग्रुहम्)

AIMED TO HELP THE HOMELESS
There are hundreds, if not thousands of homeless Hindus in Kerala. A lot more live in dilapidated structures which do not offer protection from weather. Griham program helps to build basic, new homes or refurbish dilapidated homes. Funds are raised either from donations made at the website or specific fundraisers where our supporters in India and abroad come together to support specific building projects. Typically, local HSK volunteers provide free construction labour.Material costs are carefully monitored and controlled. Inspection and quality control are ensured by HSK

Raksha (രക്ഷ)(रक्षा)

PROVIDES PSYCHOLOGICAL SUPPORT TO THE MENTALLY DISTRESSED,AVERT SUICIDES
Hindus in Kerala suffer from extremely high levels of depression. Hindus account for most of the suicides in Kerala. Most, if not all suicides are preventable. Hindus, unlike other religions, have no social support structure. Therefore, they are left alone and helpless when faced with a crisis situation. Many women face marital abuse and have nowhere to turn for help. Raksha helps by Provides 24-hour psychological hotline – free, professional counselling in deserving cases. Training volunteers especially ordinary women at the Panchayat level to identify psychological and abuse issues in the local community and intervene early and effectively. Identify and counsel girls who are trapped in fake-love (pretended love) situations. Numerous girls and their families are subjected to extreme levels of stress. HSK will offer professional guidance to the victim and her family.

Sunithi (സുനിതി)(सुनीति)

LEGAL ACTION TO SUPPORT DHARMA. LEGAL COUNSELLING AND SUPPORT TO NEEDY HINDUS
Provide legal counsel and affordable lawyers for financially strapped individuals. Legal action against temple land encroachment, anti-Hindu policies and corruption in temples. Help Hindu activists trapped in fake court cases by providing free legal counsel. Help their suffering families financially and otherwise

Shudhi (ശുദ്ധി)(शुधिः)

PROVIDES CLEAN BATHROOM IN HINDU TEMPLES
Most Hindu temples do not provide basic toilet facilities for their devotees. This puts most women devotees in considerable hardship especially our mothers. Hindu women avoid going to temples beyond their immediate neighborhood. Temple attendance drops. When women do not go, children cannot go, thus spiritually weakening the next generation. Huge, unmet need. Not addressed anywhere in the past. Shudhi helps temples build toilets to help devotees accommodate the call of nature. First project done in Payippad Pachayat in Alappuzha district. Local HSK and the temple will work together. HSK wants to expand this concept statewide using donations from kindhearted fellow Hindus..

Paravartanam (പരാവർത്തനം)(परावर्तन)

WELCOMING PEOPLE BACK TO OUR ETERNAL DHARMA
Innumerable Hindus have left their religion over the years due to financial, social and political reasons. Many have expressed a deep desire to return home to their ancient roots. HSK handles the legal paperwork and rituals required by law. The process of becoming a Hindu is time-consuming and expensive. Your donations will definitely help!

Dharma Patashala (धर्म पतशाला)(ധർമ്മ പാടശാല)

Provides Teaching of Dharma to Children
Teaching our values to our children Hindus do not have a formal system of Dharma education or training. This causes innumerable hardships to growing children and young adults. Dharma Patashalas are Panchayat-based one teacher classrooms. Hindu children from disadvantaged families are given a primer in Hinduism along with valuable hands-on skills. Carefully designed curriculum and use of modern technology.
