High Court of Kerala issued a stay order on a land encroachment attempt on the property of Palluruthy Azhakiyakavu Devi Temple. Recently, Adv. Krishnaraj, Adv. Pratheesh Vishwanath visited the temple and extended their support to the devotees who are protesting against the decision to encroach the temple land. Following this, a complaint was filed in the High Court.
Attempts were made to encroach on the temple land by stating that the Devasom land is out of revenue records and hence can be tagged as public property. The Honorable Court strongly criticized the sub-collector’s order that the property is a public property and has now stayed the order. Adv. Pratheesh Vishwanath along with Adv. Krishnaraj has been taking legal actions to end the unjust encroachment on temple lands and reclaim it. As stated earlier, Hindu Seva Kendram has been taking legal actions to reclaim the land encroachments on Thatthampalli Devi temple, Chalakkudy Mannupuram Kirathurmurthy temple etc. In the previous events also, Hindu Seva Kendram had questioned the decisions of the Devaswom Board and the intervention of other forces against the will of the devotees in such matters.
