In an unfortunate event, a tree from the backyard of Mr Pradeep living in Drishyalam house, 17th ward Mannancherry Panchayath, Alappuzha district, had fallen across the road to the Parapil family temple, on the other side of the road partially blocking the traffic. Since Mr Pradeep and his family were under quarantine and refrained from free movement, they contacted the ward member Mrs. Jasmine. Her Husband, Mr Shaji, is the Mandalam President of SDPI, the political wing of an extremist Islamic organisation, Popular Front.

Even though it is the prime responsibility of any ward member is to ensure the welfare of the people in the Ward, Mrs. Jasmine did not even move her little finger for the free movement of the public. Forgetting her obligations towards the people of the Ward, she even dared to demand Rs.7000/- (Rupees Seven Thousand Only) for removing the fallen tree to Mr Pradeep, who is in Quarantine.

As Mr Pradeep could not meet such an expense requested Hindu Seva Kendram to help him. The Volunteers themselves arranged the tools and other necessary things to declutter the fallen tree and reinstated the traffic. Sri Sreeraj, HSK Mananchery unit President & Sri Devakumar (Allu), HSK Mannachery 17th Ward Convenor, led the team of volunteers for the process.
