The water supply was reinstated in Viyapuram after the intervention of Hindu Seva Kendram.

Finally, freshwater supply to Vellamkulangara Colony in Viyapuram Panchayath is reinstated. The drinking water problem which had been going for weeks is now thus solved. Weeks ago, water supply to the said colony with more than 45 families got interrupted due to the damage in a water pump. The local & district panchayat kept on discussing over who will bear the expense of repair. Despite the struggle of 45 families for drinking water, the repair got stuck in red tapes.

It was at this point, Hindu Seva Kendram intervened. As an initial temporary step, HSK started providing potable water. The volunteers decided to escalate the issue between loggerheaded authorities to higher officials. Hindu Seva Kendram prepared a mass petition and got it signed by every resident. The Volunteers visited The District Collector to submit the mass petition. Apart from all these, the volunteers brought social media attention to the colony. Thus the water pump got repaired and reinstated in a war foot manner. The dedicated team of Hindu Seva Kendram volunteers made all this into action. But it is a sheer disgrace that some miscreants who were blind towards water scarcity are now making hollow claims and credit.

All these days, Hindu Seva Kendram was active in the colony. The volunteers made sure every family had enough drinking water. Despite the rain and all other odds, HSK volunteers were standing shoulder to shoulder with the residents. Hindu Seva Kendram will continue this stand until there is a permanent solution for the drinking water in the colony.
