The High court accepted the petition filed by the Hindu Seva Kendram in connection with the sale of temple property to pay off Rs 80 crore debt of the Thiruvambadi Devaswom.
The court directed to send a notice to the Thiruvambadi temple administration to find those responsible persons and fix the account records properly.
The Honorable court also questioned the Devaswom Board that on what authority had the board taken bank loans by mortgaging the property of the deity, who is considered a minor in terms of law. Also, the court observed that if the property of the minor is purchased what right would the buyer get from the purchase of the property.
The Thiruvambadi temple administration will be under the High Court Attention.
